The stag beetle – Lucanus cervus – is Europe's largest beetle, known for the male's impressive antler-like mandibles. These insects were revered in ancient cultures and associated with Thor in Norse mythology. The ring captures the beetle's intricate anatomy: segmented body, compound eyes, legs, and its distinctive mandibles.
